Steve Urbano - Director - !mpossible Pictures
Steve found inspiration as a kid under the wing of his grandfather, Carl Urbano, a golden-era director for Hanna-Barbera and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. He later channeled that inspiration into advertising as an agency art director, designing everything from logos to album covers to magazine spreads. As the digital era emerged, he worked as an animator, designer and visual effects artist for television, building an animation and effects portfolio on behalf of brands like Coca-Cola, Proctor & Gamble, Ford, and Corona.
Today as a live action director and visual effects supervisor, Steve is best known for clear visualization in pre-production, especially for visual effects driven spots. He also brings a designers eye to pure live action spots. His favorite works typically stem from a simple approach to a good idea. Steve has directed commercials, branded content and documentaries for Pepsi, Dupont, DISH Network, Starz Encore, Ford, Discovery Channel, and Sundance Channel.
As a director in association with design and effects production company !MPOSSIBLE, Steve has won numerous awards including Emmy, Promax, Broadcast Designers, and Addy Awards.
